Tagus from Belem

An incredibly packed day today. We started of our morning with a taxi down to Belem, famous as one of the areas of wealth in Lisbon there's an awful lot to see. From the spectacular Jeronimos Monastery to the Belem Tower, and my favourite the Discoveries Monument, a tribute to Portugals explorers. The roof on top of the brand new museum of culture is designed so tourists and sightseers can walk across and enjoy the above view which as most views here seem to be, was rather breathtaking.

Later in the afternoon we headed up to the more modern north east of the city, where the Lisbon Oceanariums occupied most of the rest of the day.

Possibly the best aquarium I have been to, it was a great way to spend a few hours.

After a lovely meal and lots of drinks we're heading to bed with plans to visit Sintra tomorrow so I'm sure a great picture will follow!
