Drilling rig off St Bees Head

After we dropped the girls off at Penrith Station and saw them on their way at the end of the workshop. Deb had a scan on her operation area. The bad news is she does have a hernia and will need another operation to rectify it. Until then, we need to make sure she minimises lifting and no more big hills. (So Slight Side and Scafell still have to wait).

As her scan was at Whitehaven, after it, we drove over to St Bees, parked at the beach and walked over St Bees head to the lighthouse and back. It was a wonderful, sunny, breezy afternoon, which did wonders to lift our sombre mood. I wasn't sure if this rig was drilling for gas, or exploratory holes for coal mining, which I know they are considering in the area.
