Romancing in the pond

Not the best shot, but I enjoyed to see how the male  emerald damselfly grab the female by the neck and flied  around with her like that in the hope that she will surrender and mate with him. As far I could see he did not succeed. After about 30 minutes around about the pond and in the rest of the garden he gave up, or she managed to get loose.
