East Kilbride Village Parish Church

Fiona got me onto my sister's Broadband Router so will manage a blip today.  May not be so lucky over the next few days while we're away though.  Went with my sister Jean, Fiona and her daughter Katrina to pick up Katrina's wedding dress in East Kilbride Village. We were able to be with her when she was having a fitting and she looked truly beautiful.  We are all looking forward to the wedding  -  sometime in November!  On the way home we stopped for lunch at 'Jist Misto' in Cardonald  -  definitely a place to be for a meal!  Did have a chance for a blip while in East Kilbride  - so here is the Village Parish Church  -  would have liked a better view  -  maybe next visit:)  East Kilbride Old Parish Church, in the heart of the original village of East Kilbride, replaced a church dedicated to St Bride, with records dating back to  the 1170s. The present-day church was built by James Pollock in 1774-75. The stonework is beautiful.
