Looking through the window of The Hermitage at Friar's Carse. The original  building was used by Robert Burns, and was where he composed this poem. The book on the windowsill is open at these very verses.

I saw a small thin fox crossing the field near here. It was a magical moment when the fox saw me and we looked at each other for a minute or two before it ran off and jumped over the wall and into the woods.

Sarah flew off to Java at about the same time for an exciting tour with her gamelan group, Siswa Sukra. Now only one of my three children is in the same time zone as me.
