A River, a Boy and a Playful Dog

..... can play for hours......

When autumn arrives, one of the prettiest places to visit in the whole of Scotland must be Dunkeld, which is around 20 minutes from where Breagha and I live in Perth. The leaves are just starting to turn at the moment, so need a few more trips to get a picture of them in all their glory.

First though, we had lunch at Palmerstons Cafe, all home baking (Jane you would be drooling at the cakes, 10 out of 10 all of them!) then headed along the river walk. There was an outdoor wedding at the Hilton Hotel, and it was great sitting in the sun people watching.

Heading back, found a little secluded beachy type inlet to sit in the sun and chuck stones in the water for my little water dog, and after a short time we were joined by this lovely lad, who was visiting Dunkeld from Falkland with his grandfather. Got his life story, which was very interesting. Him and Breagha had a great time playing in the water.

Well you can see that I survived the ladder climb. The gutters at the back of the house weren't too bad but the north facing front ones were choked!! I couldn't manage the top ones at the dormer windows, need my brother for that! Thanks Graham (he doesn't know yet)!

Next big job - the bloody hedge. It's two foot higher than it should be, quite a job. It usually gets cut twice a year, Spring and Autumn, but hey, there has been a lot of things ignored in this house this year. I am now a woman on a mission, sort of like Lara Croft!!! LOL!!

Little Simba, snoring on her chair, was a BIG star yesterday!! You know I really had no idea it would be as popular as it was so, on the advice of Jenny, I am going to get it printed off for one of the empty picture hooks in my house:-)) Thanks J x
