My friend Gillian

lives in North Carolina. She is staying in Sunderland with a friend who brought her to Monkseaton this morning then left her in my care ;) We were at school together in the 50s and she lived just along the road from me.I asked if she wanted to see her old home so we walked there.As I was taking photos of her outside the owner appeared. She said it was her old home so he invited her to have a guided tour ! She was thrilled. He then brought all the deeds to show her.It was quite emotional for her to see her parents signatures. Gillian's father was German and it was her great uncle who "Invented" Hellman's mayonnaise ;) After organising a school reunion in 2005 I went to stay with Gillian in Brevard.
