Be sure to pay the toll!

We didn't know you had to pay both ways, not being local.

Also didn't know the DVLA need driving licences AND log books when you move house. We had changed our address on the licences, but not the log book of the car.

These two things led to a £190 fine almost a year after we'd passed through the Dartford crossing.

I still can't forgive the DVLA for passing it onto a debt collector, who had no trouble finding our new address, rather than checking their data base themselves when we didn't respond to the reminder they sent us for the £2 toll.

This year I paid in advance!
