The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Saturday 5th August 2017)

This week the goldfinches have been returning to the feeders and for the first time in the last two days there have been two or three juveniles with them. There were up to six on the feeders yesterday and about three today. They seem easily disturbed and I hid behind a curtain in the kitchen to get today's shots. The feeders also had a first-time visit from a great tit.
(Looks sharper in Large. Why is this?)

Al Jolson and Bing Crosby - The Spaniard That Blighted My Life (recorded 25 March 1947)
I think I remember this from Children's Favourites in my childhood, but recently it was chosen by John Cooper Clarke as one of his Heritage Tracks on Saturday Live, and hearing it with his ears, as it were, brought a new insight to it.
