Kinver edge rock houses

At Kinver edge, in Worcestershire, houses were built, by tunneling into the sandstone, high up in the hill, many years ago. I believe that they were inhabited, up to the 1960s. The site is owned by the National trust, but on the day that we visited, it was shut ! Still, we had a nice walk, up to the area of a Roman fort, where we had a fantastic view over Kinver and could see Dudley, Birmingham and the Clee hills, in the distance.
