View from the striding arch

Great night sleep. Said good morning to the people in the next couple of tents who were taken with Kilda before heading out for the day. Doing research before we went I decided on a walk to see the Striding arches near Moniaive. There are 3 arches on the hills nearby created by local artist Andy Goldsworthy. This is the arch on top of Colts Hill. The other is the arch on Benbrack. The third is on Bail Hill but that would have been a long walk in one day. Had lunch at the top by the first arch and met 3 other walkers and their 2 labs. Decided to head over to the other arch as the weather didn’t look too bad. Did get caught in a few rain showers but had a nice day walking even though it was hard work up the hills with the camera stuff. New rucksack worked very well. Might have finally found a good camera walking rucksack. An early tea before watching a bit of a film. The two couple in the next door tents invited us over to join them. Had a nice evening with a couple of beers getting to know them. Kilda enjoyed the extra attentions.
