A Youngster out in the Forest

A combination of weather and being off colour kept me home today. I ventured out into the garden a few times when the rain stopped but after a half-hour or so I needed to sit down!
As I sat in the kitchen this young roe deer came wandering by. Their summer coats are much redder than the winter ones. I guess this is a yearling because she isn't full grown but is too big to have born this spring.
After I took this photo she moved forward into the trees and a few minutes later a similar sized buck ran by, going the same way.
We do live in a nice place!
