The girls found it most amusing how excited I was that our room at the Travelodge had a 'car park view.'  That said, apparently J G Ballard once referred to Watford as "the Mecca of the multi-storey car park" and there was even a campaign a few years ago to rename this particularly fine one in honour of the great man...
