Bousta

Blip Community is looking for places we would recommend to a visitor to our areas that are maybe not well advertised. One of my favourite places is Bousta on the far west coast of the Shetland Mainland. This part of the Island is probably the one that has been least affected by oil industry both in a positive and negative way. It's the one place on the Mainland that does not seem to have had the roads upgraded to double track and it doesn't seem to get much tourist recognition despite the woolen mill being in Sandness.

One tip for a visitor to Shetland is that if it is dull where you are it does not mean that it is dull everywhere. As you can see from the Blip glorious sunshine while at home it was dull and damp up until 6.00pm  Phone a local shop to get a weather update is always a good plan.
