Friday: Neal's Yard, London

Up at 5am & dropped off at Bangor station by MrD an hour later. Caught the 7:22 and arrived London Euston 10:37 ... Then the adventure began. Walked through Russell Sq gardens, past British Museum, lots of roadworks along the way and eventually found my way via Seven Dials to Neal's Yard. Four years ago, when I was last here, it was a relaxing place where you could have a quiet coffee but it's become very touristy and lost its personality, the Chinese bead shop has disappeared too :-(((
Onwards to Covent Garden where I mooches around, lots of nice things but very pricey, even for London!! Delicious lunch (baked potato & tuna mayo & salad) at pub downstairs in CG, lovely people and sensible prices!!
Very hot, wandered around a bit more then got the tube to Marylebone and on to my final destination.
Staying at a Travelodge in town for a couple of nights, caught a bus from railway station & checked in to wait for MrD who is driving down in his van when he finishes work at lunchtime.
Big panic - mobile phone flat, charger in the van (!!!), bought 24hr wifi for £3 and after lots of panicking and faffing MrD turned up and we went off to visit our baby granddaughter who is 1 year old today!! See extra photo x
