New Lanark

Drove down to the World Heritage Site at New Lanark today.  The main picture is a row of mill workers' houses and the extra shows more of the village and the River Clyde whose power was harnessed to run the cotton mills. If you don't know about New Lanark it's worth reading up about it or better still paying a visit. we certainly had the weather today and it was good to be able to show M, our visitor, this important example of decent employment and conditions from the 18th century.
