It's still alive

This tree I pass many times and always wonder what is keeping it going. I look at it and think that it would keep my fire going for a reasonable time when it finally gives up as most of it is dead.
A lot of rain in the hills but not much here at home. I've got a couple of houses to check on whilst the owners are away which is not too onerous as it's really a case of making sure that no miscreants have been around!
