Beneath Biscay

Mellow yellow

Noah's Ark 'El Arca de Noé'. One of the first bars in the barrio to open in the democratic period. In its early days a den of wacky backy and general hedonism, so I've been told. Over the years it has mellowed along with its owners. It is now just a cool, tranquil jazz themed bar-cáfe. No television screens and a clientele who don't talk at the tops of their voices. The owners of decades' standing recently decided to call it a day. Fortunately they seem to have found a new owner who appears to be continuing to run it as is. Fingers crossed. They also happen to make the finest 'carajillo' (similar to Irish coffee) in town.
