Ashes to Ashes.....

Ollie Holmes (from the Funeral Director)  brought Mum's ashes over... very surreal... I just know that I don't know what to do with them yet.... he stayed for about 90 minutes and we drank tea and listened to records, we also talked about death inevitably. Max took great pictures of Mum's funeral which we have given to Ollie and family to use if they would like, he said they are the first photos of an actual funeral that they have had and they are very grateful, Mum would be pleased with her love of the Theatre to be helping them in this way.

I also had a lovely email from a friend of Mum's called Janet, I went through a bag of cards Mum received when she was in the home the other day and came across a card from her and emailed her with the news of Mum's passing, it turns out that my Mum had a spell of visiting people at home and giving them speech therapy and that is how they met, Janet then introduced Mum to the Stroke Club which is where she met Gerry, Gerry drove the bus and Mum helped people on and off.

Nice walk to Twickenham, bit of banking and bought squid and scallops for tonight's risotto.

Caught up with Sally and Rita and Sue on the phone.
