Doors Closed Day

It's Doors Open Day in Edinburgh, when the public gets to see behind usually closed doors of historic, or otherwise interesting, buildings. EdiSteve outlines our day here, so I'll merely ask you to admire this piccie of me behind bars at Leith police station.

This isn't actually a cell, it's the top of the stairs - the cells are too pokey and full of rubbish to allow for a decent pic. It was great to hear how the cells were used 170 years for Leith's drunken sailors and other reprobates. And obviously, it's the only way I'll ever get near a prison cell.
