I really love the footage from this German tv show. I find it hard to believe that the audience really knew what they were listening to and/or enjoyed it. It's the polite applause that gets me.
I was sensible last night and went to bed early. This was a good thing - I really enjoyed sleeping and for the first time in ages I didn't want to ignore the alarm.
Good day. Lots of progress made. And I left at a reasonable hour.
Only to meet the AdT.
The bus driver on the way home.
He was using the intercom system to give us a running commentary on why every street in Wiesbaden and every driver in Wiesbaden was a nightmare. But in a curious mixture of English, French, German & Turkish. And all the while just leaning on the horn (which sounds much ruder than it should). That always helps in traffic jams....
Mind you, pretty much every driver on the Gustav Streseman Ring turns into an AdT after 3pm.
Drivers just seem to deliberately ignore traffic lights - "I've waited enough, I shall drive through this red light because I am a petulant AdT."
It was too much for me.
I have legs. Got out as soon as I could. Walked to a much quieter bus stop, took the long way home.
AdT - Arschloch des Tages. "des Tages" is "of the day". Arschloch needs no translating really.
