Rosie and I went through lots of old photos and scanned them ready to print out copies as I wanted there to be lots to look at after the funeral, and some to show during the service. We walked to Boots but there machines weren't working so we caught the train to Reading and used the photo printing machines there. Then we met Keith and walked along by the canal to the hospital to pick up the death certificate. We had tea and toasted tea cakes in the friends coffee shop, (We had two free drinks as I had so many stamps on my card after the last week). Then we walked to the registrars office to register Dad's death. We met the other family who I had spent lots of moments with last week as our respective Dad's came to the end of their lives. We keep being thrown together.
Afterwards we walked back into Reading and had a much needed tea and cake at Bill's. We sat outside and it was quite pleasant until the heavens opened and we were marooned under a thankfully large umbrella.
It was Harry's first day at his new job for House of Fraser, he seemed quite positive about it when we met at the station. Rosie had to go back to Bristol; Selena drove her as the heavens opened again when she was about to leave.
