Snippets of Life

Yummm

Happy day! Time goes fast and yet, how much has changed!

Today mostly revolved around food... it was the last eat out for a long time though seeing as we're both absolutely skint.

I knew nothing about what was to happen and was just told to get up whenever i wanted and the day would roll from there. I think Gareth optimistically thought I'd be able to sleep in more than usual even on a day he'd got me excited about! We started with breakfast at a very nice little cafe on Gloucester road, eggs and soldiers! What a great idea! Then we went and i bought him most of a rug for his room as a happy day present...

We then had a bit of time to kill as I'd 'got up too early!' and it was raining so we couldn't really just sit about somewhere, so we sat about at home. Then we headed towards town and stopped at this wonderful cafe for lunch. It was so good! Gareth had a massive delicious sausage sandwich. It wasn't until weeks later that he realised the whole place is veggie and vegan and those sausages had no meat in at all!

Eventually we came to the event of the day. A boat ride down the river to a tearooms where we had a yummy cream tea and then boated back into town! How old are we!! But it was lovely, and the rain stopped and it brightened up just in time!

After that we were tired so we headed home and made delicious mackerel stir fry for dinner. Yummm.
