..window.

Up at 3.30am to catch our 7.30 ferry. Unfortunately it was delayed by 4 hours which had a knock on effect for the rest of the day.

We had an overnight stop in Chartres and the plan was to arrive about 3pm, crash out for a couple of hours, go out for dinner and then see the wonderful light show.

We arrived about 6.45pm, freshened up and met up about 7.30. Off we go for dinner.... only all the restaurants are completely full and not serving anymore, so we end up in McDonalds... bleurgh! Off to the cathedral to see the start of the light show but because there was a (superb) Supertramp tribute band playing in the square the light show was delayed until it finished. We waited and waited and everybody was exhausted after such an early start. Some returned to the hotel while Mr C, Lucy, Simone and I had a little walk around and saw some lights (I really wanted to see as many as we could but we were just too tired).

P.s we are still away (10/8) and internet isn't brill but as everyone is 'resting' thought I would give it a go.

P.p.s... there are 9 of us away. Mr C and I, all the kids plus partners/friend.
