Day 222/17. A Ruddy Darter (I think)

After a few damp days of rain, the sun was vey welcome today.
And the insects were out in force enjoying the sun in our back garden.
Our pond is not that big, but it does attact dragonflies, one of my very favourite subjects, but challenging to photograph. I'm not brilliant at identifying them, but I think this is a Ruddy Darter who put in a lengthy appearance and posed for me, as did the Southern Hawker in the extra photo today.
