Stag 'n friends

Now that their antlers are fully grown the stag can be seen butting their headgear against tree branches, tree protectors, fences and the like in order to remove the velvet covering. This results in them looking rather untidy. In another month or so they will be back to their majestic selves, preparing themselves for the rut.
