Nose Work

Work took a lot longer than expected today, but at 3 pm, I was finally ready to leave and take the boys out for a training session and a walk.

The boys and my main sport is dog dancing, but we also do Nose Work - just for the fun of it. In Nose Work, the dogs learn to search for a specific odor or odors and find the source. If you go to competitions, the first odor is lavender, so that's what we are using too. 

Biscuit is going to a Nose Work Workshop tomorrow, but he has been busy with his Freestyle routine this summer, so it is a long time since he has been searching for lavender. I thought I better remind him what it smells like today :-)

He did remember, and found what he was looking for. The lavender is on the small white dot just next to his nose.

Gollum and Hero worked on new moves. It was a good training session followed by a lovely walk.
