Short Slow Walk

This baby alligator (we call any gator much below six feet in length a 'baby') decided to climb up the rocks leading from the salt marsh and casually stroll across the causeway to the pond side.

This is fairly typical for some of the alligators that don't live in the salt water but will occasionally walk over for a visit to hunt for items such as yummy, crunchy crabs which they enjoy tremendously.

This area of the salt marsh was also just down the ways a bit from where the spoonie was a couple of days ago.

I heard (too late I guess) that there were four spoonbills there earlier this morning but I never saw them.
