Roses & Raspberry

Raspberry and I were the lucky recipients of lovely roses from T last night. She knows the troubles we have with disruptions and there have been a day to day stream of them. Last week was Raspberry's vet trip,  our bed and mattress moving and then the delivery of said new mattress. This week began with 2 renovated windows re-installed, 2 craftswomen and hammering,  Wednesday brought tree cutting, and branch chipping with much noise accompanied by 3 men with saws and hardhats,  then 2 garden specialists at 8 AM on Thursday discussing our garden rehab and addition of some border trees followed by one fabulous handyman the same morning with various tools and noises. All tasks much appreciated after the various whirlwinds, but we still accepted the flowers happily. Strangely, I had just polished the perfect silver vase for the bouquet after the handyman left yesterday afternoon in a rather magical twist.

For the Record,
This day came in foggy and warm burning off to cloudy skies with some sun. We may have Swedish dinner and overnight guests tonight. An old Swedish friend, a close friend of our Swedish 'family',  is landing in Boston tonight for a vacation on Cape Cod. She's being met by her partner, also a Swede who has been visiting friends in Colorado. They'll head to the Cape tonight and we have told them to stop if they are tired or the traffic(it will be) is horrendous. If we don't see them tonight, they'll stop for lunch on their way back to Boston next week.

All hands continue to be horrified at the actions and rhetoric spewing from 45. He has to go.
