Candlelight

Friday 11th August 2017 (1812)

I didn't have a blip and I am tired. A candle seemed appropriate, then I decided on my oil burner. The camera was resting on the shelf but I needed to lift it a bit. The exposure was approx 1 second. My hand slipped and ... I liked the effect. I then experimented with deliberately moving the camera until I got this one I liked.

Today I led the funeral service, including doing the eulogy, of a member of my congregation and member of our walking group. She was killed three weeks ago in a tragic accident in the centre of the village leaving her family, friends and our community devastated. Today we celebrated her life in style. May she rest in peace.
