Dog Olympic Games 2012

What a day! I got up at 4.30, left home at 5.30, took dogs to dog sitters, met Helle at 8.30 and arrived to the airport at 9!

Got through security, had breakfast and went on board the plane, which took off 30 mins later than planned. Arrived to Venezia 30 mins late, waited 1 hour for my suitcase and 1½ hour for Helle's! We were met by Roberto, who took us to Lignano, where the Dog Olympic Games are held.

This event is HUGE! I don't think I have ever been to a dog show held in such fabulous surroundings and on such lovely courses. It is amazing!

Karina and her husband Gianni met us and have been our hosts all day today. They are wonderful hosts and have taken care of us so well. We have been to see the hall that we will be judging in tomorrow and we have met a few of the competitors and their dogs.

We had a late dinner - but gosh there was a lot of food. 4 dishes! They kept bringing food in for us!

Today's picture is our hostess Karina, who is also the show manager, with her red Border Collie Darling in the hall in front of the Dog Olympics logo.

Bed time now - it is 11 pm. I don't even want to think of how many hours it is since I got up!

Night night, Blippers!
