A quiet alley

This morning I took S to a jewellery shop in Lorne Street, in the central city. It is her birthday on Monday, and she requested a ring. The store we went to is run by a co-operative of silversmiths, and much of what they sell is their own work. She chose a topaz ring, made by the chap who was manning the shop today. While waiting for him to adjust the size downwards for her, we went to a nearby bookshop (Unity Books) and she chose an illustrated copy of Beowulf. This alley was close to the jewellers.
A relaxing and happy day with my love.
