AU RESERVOIR

I had a lovely walk beside the reservoir this afternoon in a break between showers. Flocks of geese were coming in for what looked like a big and noisy goose party, and there were lots of other things about like this willow warbler, the first Painted Lady butterfly I've seen this year (extra), yellowhammers, herons, starlings begin to practise for murmuration season, and beautiful wild flowers. I believe that the owners are planning "sensitive" development, bringing caravans, lodges and water sports. They are not known for their sensitivity or for keeping their promises, so I plan to make the most of this part of the footpath while I can.
