A bit of a do

We were given just 4 weeks notice of this little event. By little, I mean there were just 17 of us including bride and groom, equally split between the UK and Australia, Matt's place of birth. It was a battle against the gremlins, we woke up in the hotel this morning to find no running water. When we spoke to reception about this little problem, we were told it was going to take up to 4 hours to fix, 4 hours that we didn't have. Luckily, only the 3rd floor and above were affected and they have a staff bathroom with shower on the 1st floor which they let us use, so well done Premier Inn. Fresh from the shower, Rosina gets a text from Matt to say that he had forgotten to return the paperwork to the registry office which was supposed to be done before the big day. That little issue was handed over to his mum who had to arrive at the registry office early to iron things out. Of course these things come in threes and as we travelled to London last night, Rosina received a text from Matt owning up to not having confirmed the venue for the reception. A deposit had been paid but it was hit and miss as to whether anyone had tied that money hitting their account to this booking. Luckily, they were not surprised to see us when we turned up at 2 o'clock.

Phew ...... all's well that ends well.
