First day at Kindy and first school visit

Today we a big day for us. 

CJ and on his first school visit with kindy. They take the oldest 8 children and join the new entrants class for a couple of hours. CJ loved it, he enjoyed seeing some of his old friends, but most importantly he loved doing the class activities. 

But today was also big for LJ! It was his first day at kindy. He is going for a few hours in the afternoon, before he moves to a couple of mornings when he turns 3.

He helped pack his new bag and his lunch. Then it was time to go. He was very excited! 

We put his bag in a locker and joined CJ at the lunch table. And it wasn't long before his big brother was showing him around. They even painted a picture together. 

But once he was settled, CJ and I left him to explore by himself. He is going at a different time to CJ as I want him to learn his by himself and not with the "guidance and help" of CJ. 

We went back a few hours later and the report of his first day was very good. He got involved in a lot of the activities and loved the and pit. But he wore himself out trying all the new things and almost fell asleep on the short drive home! 

It's a good thing he had a few months to settle in before he will be going for a longer session! 

Both boys are growing up! Way too fast! It won't be long before they both are at school and kindy... 

And, if I'm honest, I'm a little sad to see them go as I enjoy our time together during the day.
