Superboy

After an early start and three hours driving convoy, we arrived in Oban. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day to drive - I have fallen in love with the Scottish countryside, seen at its very best today.

I've also fallen in love with Fiona and her wonderful hospitality. From the moment we arrived she had food on the table, bubbly on ice and a warm, warm welcome for everyone. It was just me, Carolyn, Jo and Fiona with our kids - the men folk were banished/given a reprieve (whatever way you want to look at it) for the day - a win-win scenario, I think.

We sat in the garden, drinking, chatting and laughing, while the kids got on with what they do best - playing. Well, all except Little D who is still feeling under the weather and very clingy. He peeled himself off me every now and again to play with the others but it never lasted too long before he was back by my side. He couldn't help but be amazed, however, at our very own Superboy and his amazing ability to fly through the air!

Our mission, to get the kids in bed before more wine in front of X Factor, didn't really work but there was too much hilarity going on to pay attention to the tv anyway. A fab night in, just what we all needed!
