Street Girl

Day two of the Street Portraiture course at the National Portrait Gallery. Hard work today getting people willing to pose and lots of rejections.  This lovely lady worked in a clothes shop (Rokit) in the Covent Garden area - she was shy about posing but said afterwards how much more confident she felt for the fact that I thought her worthy of a portrait.

It was a brilliant course and I have been challenged in so many ways.  I have learned a great deal about portraiture and, whether or not I continue with this genre of street portraits, I will take better natural portraits as a result.
