Continuing our series on rice fields....

Of the things that have legs and work in the rice fields, these would be two of them.

People and an ox or two work most of the fields in Thailand. Larger, more commercial farms use tractors and machinery, but the majority of fields in most of the country are family owned and worked. During harvesting season, it's not uncommon for family members from other provinces or neighbors from the surrounding community to come help. Often the help is payed for in rice at the end of the harvest.
