Recycled…………

……………..…….…Glass

This blip is especially for those who were curious about the contents of the double exposure blip I posted two days ago on 12th August.

The glass jug/bottle is made from recycled glass and today I have added a sprig of the highly perfume daphne which is in full bloom in my garden. The black is part of the unused woodbox door and the green stone is serpentine. This forms a hearth and fire surround and looks very impressive. Heat pumps are used to heat our home with the builtin fire kept for a possible emergency!

Notes from Gemstones by Jocelyn Thornton gives the following information
Serpentine is a dark-green rock. In New Zealand it is generally quarried as a source of magnesium for fertilisers. (Strictly speaking, serpentine is the magnesium silicate mineral which makes up the rock serpentinite.)”

Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s tranquil watery scene.
