A deer in the yard

Imagine my surprise when the dog let out a growl and a yip right after lunch today, then stood up on the sofa looking out the front window.  I thought someone was driving in the yard.   When I looked out, there she was right in the front yard at the redbud tree..about 30 feet away.    We usually don't get them to come so close to the house.  I had to fight with the dog at the door as she wanted to go out to chase it away!   Good thing my front door  has windows on it!  

She was a little distant from me to keep with the theme for mono monday.
