Mom's quilt

Last year I found some quilt squares that my Mom had made many years ago, using scraps from many project she had sewn. Knowing that I would never use them, I gave them to a friend who quilts and told her if she didn't want them she could give them to someone else. 
Today she invited me to her house and said she had something to show me, and here was this beautiful quilt she had made with Mom's squares. She said, "It's for you. When I saw all those hand stitches made perfectly by your Mom, I knew you had to be yours." 
It's one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me.
