My colours

It was predictable that when I tried candle dipping at The Manor House Hotel back in August, the candles would be mostly blues, mauves and turquoises. I had such a good time dipping into the tubs of my favourite colours. We started with a plain white candle and just kept dipping. Some people carved their candles into exotic shapes, but I thought I might spoil them.

They were difficult to stage in an interesting way so I put them on a favourite tablecloth. I have a drawer full of beautiful lace and embroidered linens that seldom see the light of day, so I gave this one an outing!
