Was It Really So Long Ago

A Walk in the Park #blipfoto #2000

... or Meon Meanderings.

A superb walk today, from Droxford in the Meon Valley, taking in Exton and its pub The Shoe, Old Winchester Hill, Hambleton, Soberton and its pub and back to Droxford. A bit over 15 miles, some of which was on the South Downs Way.

The weather was fair today, some sun but not too warm for walking with clear views especially from Old Winchester Hill - all the way to the Isle of Wight!

The route was found on the website: fancyfreewalks.org run by a group of amateur walkers covering much of the south of England and is free to use with detailed routes and maps available.

Blip tells me this is a milestone entry: 2000, quite a collection. I'm still here after all those years, still enjoying it and in particular being part of something niche made special by all you wonderful Blippers. Here's to lots more!
