Spiced Plum Chutney

It’s a bit bizarre to be making chutney on this rather rare beautiful  August day, but our friends who came to see us in Derbyshire on Sunday came armed with masses of gorgeous, but rather ripe plums from their garden, so rather than waste them I turned them into a Spiced Plum chutney.  I made a very successful batch last year;   the proof of the pudding will be in the eating with this batch!  I’ve got up to date with all the washing as well today so hopefully I can get out and about tomorrow.
