Tiny Tuesday Train

We slept in the second bedroom last night, as our new mattress was still expanding......we will try it out tonight :-) We both slept remarkably well funnily enough, so woke up bright and rested.

I was off to see sis whilst hub stayed at home.
Journey over took ages, lots of roadworks and parked car transporters blocking the road :-/

Once I picked sis up we decided to take a drive up to Marple to a little cafe/bakery that we like, called "All Things Nice" and how true that is!!! We had chicken and leek home made soup and a sandwich. We expected a half sandwich which tends to be the case these days, but oh no, thick cut homemade crusty brown bread, with proper butter, sliced chicken breast, bacon and mayonnaise. So so tasty...but we left the tops off our sandwiches in order to finish them ;-).

We bought some scones, ecclescakes, home made potted beef and I got hub a rather large scotch egg for his tea tonight ;-)

We had a nice stroll around the shops, got some lovely fruit and picked onions in the greengrocers....a real old fashioned proper fruit and veg shop!

Then we drove to a garden centre close by for a wander. We browsed a while...got myself a new kneeler for weeding in the garden in their sale, and some new numbers for one of our bins !! We had another cuppa sat outside in the sunshine, it was really quite warm, out of the breeze.

We had just got back to the car, when the little train that runs when the children are off school, came chugging around the corner.....aha, I thought, just perfect for todays Tiny Tuesday blip. I know its not that tiny really, but it is for a train :-D

We then went back to sis's house, Kobi was pleased to see us......sis is worried about him as he's eaten a sock!!! Shes keeping a close eye on him....have to say he seems fine, but she will be relieved when he is, of the sock that is :-/

Back home now, an easier journey, a light salad for tea, hub enjoyed his scotch egg and pickles. We shared the scone and ecclescake they were very good!!!

We are off round to our neighbours this evening for a game of cards, we all decided we needed to brush up as we havent played for a long time, and plan to have a few games in the evening, whilst on hols in a week or two.
We play Canasta.....well once we remember all the rules that is!!!
