Bala

It looked like it was going to be a fair day, so a family excursion down to Bala seemed a good plan, with Brother #1, Niece #4, 12yo, 9yo, Mum and myself making quite a party.

On arrival we found the sunshine a little deceptive as a strong breeze was bringing the temperature down and making the lake quite choppy. Still, we found a good spot to settle down and have our picnic and paddle while other more active folk battled through the waves in their kayaks and dinghies.

On the way back we paused at Brenig for the kids to enjoy the new adventure playground. We're all a bit worn out from the fresh air.
