Pouring Purple

Sometimes it's necessary to pinch yourself because it's hard to believe what you're seeing is for real.

It looks like a huge pot of purple paint has been poured over the quarry.
Every time I go out in the garden the colour takes my breath away. It's easy to forget from one year to another, but I can't remember the heather ever being as vibrant as it is this year. Lots of other people are saying the same thing.
