Walmer Royal Navy Life Boats (RNLI)

Last night we watched the men from Walmer RNLI going through their paces; this is the boat being loaded back on to its trailer ready to be pulled back up the steep shingle bank to it's station.
Walmer has had a RNLI station since the 1830s, the deadly Goodwin Sands are just off the coast and it is believed that over 2,000 boats have been wrecked on these sands over history.
