Every Picture Tells .....

Parisiene Nights .......Ooh La La

WEDNESDAY

I came across this device which was tucked away in one of the museum buildings.

The Mutoscope was manufactured between 1895 and 1909 and was seen in amusement arcades and pleasure piers until the early 1970s. Apparently decimal coins and not Mary Whitehouse contributed to their obsolescence.

When, back in the office, I mentioned "What the Butler Saw"  machines to colleagues I was met with blank looks!

On another note, at home this evening I managed to stick my fingers together with superglue when the tube exploded.
