Art walk

Staines on Thames was made famous by AllieG. It does have a lot of history. We are on the Thames and not that far from Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed.
I discovered some years ago that it had an Art Walk. There are several friezes and sculptures around town and it was when I googled one to see why it was there  I discovered this little known Walk. ( I did a blip series on this finishing here, if you are interested) This is found in the fairly new Two Rivers shopping centre and is of the water nymphs. We have the Thames and as the name implies two rivers meet in the shopping centre. This area was originally marshland and was reclaimed many years back. It was in this industrial area the limo factory was built. The Lagonda  car factory was also here . Sainsbury built their supermarket on this land. The London Stone is here as well. It had had a river crossing since roman times and was a resting place for the post stagecoach too from Southampton to London
